HARMONY HOUSE FOR CATS
DESCRIPTION
Now in its 54th year, Harmony House is Chicago's second oldest, no-kill animal shelter and the second humane organization to open a cageless adoption center for cats and kittens in Chicago. We receive no city, county, state, or federal funding and rely entirely upon contributions from caring animal lovers.
Opened in July 2012, Harmony House's adoption center showcases our cats and kittens available for adoption in Chicago's greenest shelter. Our building was awarded LEED-NC's Platinum status, the highest rating possible. Cats in every room of the shelter enjoy natural light and look out at the trees and flowers surrounding the building.
