Sunflowers Not Sundowners

DESCRIPTION
My dad, Eugene Smuda, loved to garden and in particular, he loved to grow sunflowers. He grew amazingly tall sunflowers, most of them taller than our garage. He loved taking care of them by staking and tying them which often involved climbing a ladder to do so. He even won a prize in a contest for the flower he is holding here.

Unfortunately my father developed Alzheimer's and Sundowners. He passed away August 6, 2015.

I picked up where my dad left off, and I am now a grower of sunflowers. I grow them from seeds and they never cease to amaze me how beautiful and majestic they are.

I also started raising and releasing Butterflies this year. Raising butterflies is an amazing experience and they are a sign of HOPE for the future.

This being the case, I decided to create a few items with photos of sunflowers and butterflies, all of the sunflowers were grown by me, except for the October one, which was grown by my dad. October is his birth month. The butterflies were raised by me and all were photographed by me.

I am selling these items to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association so that one day there will be a cure for this horrible disease. $5 from the price each calendar and $3 from the price of each Notebook will be donated directly to the Alzheimer's Association to help with their research and support.

I make no money on any transaction.
