This year Kimberly has included, by request, a special collection of photographs taken exclusively in urban environments. Most photographs are of Seattle, but you'll find a few other surprises among this collection.
Working outside of her usual nature and landscape photography, she finds capturing city scenes and people to be a whole other realm of technical challenge and exploration. Not satisfied with merely hiding behind the camera, just like with nature photography, she immerses herself in the environment, often talking and interacting with her subjects and capturing thoughtful images of favorite places she frequents.
