Photography Contest Calendar, EAS 2027

2027 calendar fundraiser for the University of Houston's Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) Graduate Student Body Committee (SBC).

Since the pandemic, growing community everywhere required intentional effort. Addressing this, the SBC started hosting weekly coffee hours. This grew in popularity, with the addition of donated board games, such as UNO, and the donations of coffee and donuts from faculty member, Dr. Yingcai Zheng.

Additionally, the SBC held their inaugural Halloween party and costume contest at a local bar, with record attendance in 2026. The SBC is looking forward to continuing and expanding traditions such as these.

To maintain momentum and community growth, the SBC is fundraising with its first geology calendar.

The EAS community voted on their favorite photos submitted to the 2026 photography contest ran by the SBC. Photos were submitted by students and faculty, representing the breadth of field work and research that our department contributes. Your contribution will foster the continued community development vital for scientific collaboration, and student well-being.
